Letters

Rudolf Steiner corresponded with countless persons. There are letters both from Rudolf Steiner himself and addressed to him. The main part
of letters addressed to him are written by people within the anthroposophical movement. But the collection contains also letters by Franz Kafka, Piet Mondrian or Else Lasker-Schüler. Worth mentioning is a special letter from Josef Köck from January 19th, 1881adressed to Joseph Köck . Steiner describes on both sides of the sheet a kind of initiation, which he got through meditating a text of Schelling. He succeeded in overcoming the timely consciousness and breaking through to the “Eternal within us”. Rudolf Steiner´s legacy of letters gives evidence of a vital exchanges with different people of his time.
