Libraries

Rudolf and Marie Steiner´s legacy includes also an extensive private library with several thousand partly rare books and first  editions. Many prominent personalities of that time e.g. Ernst Haeckel and Edouard Schuré had sent presentation copies of their boards to Rudolf Steiner with personal dedications marks and marginal notes of Rudolf Steiner.

Besides, the Archive owns several collections of books, which can shed light on Rudolf Steiner´s works from different point of view:

Carlo Septimus Picht collected almost all books mentioned by Steiner in his lectures and publications. The collection of Lothar Vogel holds works of all important  Goetheanistic people  of the 19th  century, in addition there are different collections in special objects like literature of remembrance or history of occultism.
